💰 Council tax could be going up again. Councillors will vote on proposed new rates at a special budget meeting next week. It went up 8% last year and could go up 5% from April if plans are approved.
- The proposed increases are:
- Band A: £1,042.34 to £1,094.46 per year
- Band B: £1,216.06 to £1,276.86
- Band C: £1,389.79 to £1,459.28
- Band D: £1,563.51 to £1,641.69
- Band E: £2,054.28 to £2,156.99
- Band F: £2,540.70 to £2,667.74
- Band G: £3,061.87 to £3,214.96
- Band H: £3,830.60 to £4,022.13.

🚑 Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage after a 66-year-old man was fatally struck by a vehicle outside the Tesco Extra supermarket in Corstorphine yesterday morning. - The police appeal is here.

✈️ Longstanding Edinburgh Airport Chief Executive Gordon Dewar has announced he'll step down at the end of 2026 after 14 years in the job. - The airport published more details here.

⭐️ Hollywood star George Clooney is continuing his support of the Social Bite charity. Having visited its Rose Street cafe in 2015, now the actor and humanitarian is helping raise money for the homelessness charity by offering to have lunch with competition winners. - More details via Social Bite.
