🚦 Plans to reduce motor traffic on city centre streets could be introduced in a newly proposed phased approach, including making the Cowgate a one-way street, reports Sarah McArthur for Edinburgh Inquirer.

Capital set to apply brakes to its city centre traffic revolution
The brakes are likely to be applied – albeit gently – to council plans to discourage motorists from driving into or through the city centre. The move will have many under-pressure shops and hospitality businesses breathing a sigh of relief, while those concerned with the amount of traffic, and greenhouse gas emissions, on our roads are likely to be disappointed at the delay,

🚨 A teenager has been charged after allegedly leading police on a chase in a stolen Range Rover and hitting a woman on Princes Street on Wednesday. Police said: “A 17-year-old male was arrested on Market Street by officers following a short foot chase.” - Matthew Fulton, STV News.
