The Collective art centre on Calton Hill has cut ties with sponsor Baillie Gifford after artists raised concerns about the investment companyâs reported links to the ongoing suffering in Gaza.
The six artists involved in the galleryâs âSatellitesâ programme spoke exclusively to the Edinburgh Culture Minute. They highlighted Baillie Giffordâs investments in companies with connections to Israelâs military. Having convinced Collective to take a stance, the group is now urging âall art workers and institutions with an association with Baillie Gifford to refuse funding from themâ.
