🆕 News & happenings this week
📗 Three local independent bookshops will unite on Thursday evening for this year’s ALT Book Fringe programme launch event. The community festival runs from 9-27 August across three venues: Lighthouse Bookshop, Argonaut Books and Typewronger Books. Thursday’s launch event at Leith Arches includes poetry from Katie Ailes and Nat Raha, a film screening and music from Bashir + DJs. All funds from ticket sales and money raised on the night will go to Fossil Free Books’ writer hardship fund.
