🍿 Work began last week on a revamp of the Filmhouse cinema on Lothian Road. Local construction firm Clark Contracts is working on creating a new fourth screen, adding new seating, renovating the toilets and refurbishing of the cafe-bar and foyer areas. The Filmhouse team said:
“The building is now teeming with men in hi-vis jackets (yes, they are all men), the sound of drills is echoing though the corridors, and Cinema 3 is (intentionally!) full of the wreckage of the old box office desk. After all this time, it is genuinely exciting for us to see so much activity happening – actual physical steps towards getting Filmhouse’s doors re-opened to a transformed cinema.” - More details here.
