- Description: Trams to be tested on Friday night. All bus diversions to be lifted. Temporary pedestrian walkway planned for road.
- Author: Michael MacLeod

Trams, buses, trams and pedestrians will be able to access all of **Princes Street** this weekend for the first time since the 9 July fire, if all goes to plan.

If overnight tram test runs on Friday are successful, they will return to their full route from the airport to Newhaven on Saturday morning. **All city centre bus diversions will also end.**

Work on the fire-damaged site will continue, meaning **the pavement on the north side of Princes Street will remain closed**. One lane of the eastbound carriageway will be used as a **temporary pedestrian walkway.**
